Beijing Foreign Airlines Service Corporation (Beijing FASCO) has been consistently organizing and participating in public welfare projects since 2012. Focusing on internationalization, civil aviation and human resources, Beijing FASCO devotes itself to supporting the growth of disadvantaged groups and is concerned about environmental protection. By donation, career consulting and general skills training, Beijing FASCO takes social responsibility in various ways.
Beijing FASCO integrates public resources to help customers have a good understanding of Chinese public benefit resources, offer opportunities to customers and staff to participate in public benefit activities, and assist customers to customize public benefit activities build up the brand awareness in social responsibility.
1. Environmental protection
① Tree-planting program: since 2015, the accumulative total of trees planted has exceeded 400.
② Donate your steps: as an achievement of advocating low carbon travel and green traffic, Beijing FASCO employees donated 6250000 steps which then transformed into 1300 lunches for students in mountainous areas.
2. Caring for the disadvantaged groups
① Caring for children in autism: Beijing FASCO works together with the local education and rehabilitation center, cares for the physical and mental health of children.
② Concert for disadvantaged children: with the aim to make musical education benefit disadvantaged groups, Beijing FASCO joined hands with Foundation for visually impaired children, schools for migrant workers’ children and other social service agencies to organize special concerts for these children.
③ Mutual fund for female employees in serious illness: a mutual fund scheme has been set up since 2013 to support and care for female employees in serious illness.
3. Knowledge sharing and career planning
① Campus event: Beijing FASCO joined hands with American Airlines and Cathay Pacific to organize interactive activities such as aerospace knowledge sharing in Dandelion School - the first junior middle school specially set up for the children of migrant workers in Beijing.
② Customized event planning and execution: combining American Airlines’s appreciation event with a half-day interactive baking course with students from Dandelion School to enhance the corporate social responsibility image of American Airlines.
③ Campus talk in universities: Beijing FASCO has organized 45 campus talk in 16 universities for almost 4000 students, which provides graduates with a variety of career opportunities and pathways.
④ Professional training for airline service trainers: Beijing FASCO helps teachers in vocational colleges promote teaching skills, which supports industry-education integration in vocational education.
